Dana Perkins has been teaching literature and writing at the middle school, high school and junior college levels for 25+ years. In 2007, she created and taught her first college application essay workshop at The Bush School where she also served as a college essay advisor. Some of the schools where Dana has worked include The Bush School in Seattle, Foothill College in Los Altos, CA, and Burke’s in San Francisco, CA. 

Melissa Manning has been teaching writing and literature for 25+ years, at the University of Washington, where she earned a PhD in English, and various high schools in Seattle, including The Lakeside School, Holy Names Academy, and The Bush School. She scored AP English Literature essays during three summers in Louisville, KY.
